TESTIMONIES
Romans 15:13
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
- NIV Translation
Testimonies are a good way to get encouragement from others and the Lord. It is so wonderful to hear what the Lord is doing in people’s lives.

Church at the Gate
Michelle has fought with depression her whole life. She wen't through a time where she was suicidal, lost, and felt like she was falling into a deep dark hole. BUT through all this the Lord was always faithful. One time, as she was about to take her own life again, the Holy Spirit came to her and said, "What do you think your parent's will think if you committed suicide?" After hearing that Michelle changed her pespective, by getting more into her bible, and moving to a different city. Michelle is know depression reduced. And believing that the Lord will someday take all depression away.

Jack
Church at the Gate
Jack was given a miracle by God through the healing of his arm. Jack's right arm was shorter than the other because the doctors took out 6 inches of bone due to the fact that his bone was pressing against nerves. When he would stretch his arms out they were noticeably uneven. He was prayed for during second service and he felt something working in him. It wasn't until he got into the parking lot when he was prompted to hold his arms out together. That is when he noticed they were perfectly even. He is completely healed. He can bend his wrist, and drive without his arm going numb. And now, he does not have to have another surgery to even out the difference in inches. Praise the Lord.

Several years ago when the economy was so bad and people were losing their jobs and the bottom fell out of the real estate market my husband lost his job and was unemployed for 6 months. During that time we continued to tithe the Biblical tithe of 10% right off the top of my husband's unemployment checks and my disability checks. We made just over what was allowed and could not get food stamps. However there was a government program we qualified for which paid one months mortgage and caught us up on our utilities. It was Christmas and United Way had a food giveaway. They lined the armory with tables filled with food like a food pantry and anyone without question could come. Even though we had an organic lifestyle we were able to come away with 4 big brown grocery bags full of food. But God wasn't done yet. At 1:00 am our pastor, wife and older son were awaken by the police because their house was on fire. God saved their life by waking a neighbor who called the police. The fire started in the garage while they were asleep at the other end of the house. God's hand came down midway through the kitchen and said, "No further." Flames shot out of the roof venting the fire outside which firefighters said was a miracle. In the burned out garage stood the freezer full of food untouched by the fire. They had to give away the food and God filled our freezer. What God gave back to us was far more than what our tithe had been. You can never out give God. God provided a different job for my husband at a $2 an hour raise. When we are obedient it opens the doors for God's blessings.
